Creating Satirical Political Content in light of black Comedy and Dystopian Reality A Netnographic Study of Al-Salit Nws Program on the AJ+ Arabic Platform
Keywords:
satirical content, black comedy, dystopiaAbstract
Through our study, we aim to shed light on the new characteristics that content creators display in the virtual and real environment and the changes that occur in their interactions, orientations, and jobs, after they engage in producing and broadcasting satirical political content.
We relied on a study of the Al-Sulait news program on the AJ+ Arabic platform, and on the netnographic method according to Goffman’s theory of self-presentation.
The study concluded that the group of young people in charge of this program does not seek to change the political opinions and convictions of young people as much as they educate them, and focus on issues of rights and freedoms. They use all the strategies of self-presentation theory to do so.
